Juliann Rose Lieb, daughter of MaryAnn and Bobby Lieb of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Arlene Copley of Phoenix; Hermes Ortiz of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico; Herb Lieb of Phoenix; and the late Sharon Nessel.

Great-grandparents are the late Miriam Clark and the late Rose Nessel.

Juliann attends All Saints' Episcopal Day School. Her hobbies include volleyball, basketball, softball and music.

For her mitzvah project, Juliann volunteered at the Andre House.



Holly Michelle Gildar, daughter of Susan and David Gildar of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are the late Sylvia and Harold Gildar; the late Christina Wheeler; and the late Robert Greer.

Great-grandparents are David Orel; Harriet and Horace Binney; and the late Mary Orel.

Holly attends Desert Canyon Middle School. Her hobbies include playing piano, art and tennis.

For her mitzvah project, Holly called bingo numbers for senior citizens at the Life Care Center in Scottsdale.



Jason Lane, son of Amy Laidlaw of Mesa and David Lane of Gilbert, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 15, 2004, at the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation.

Grandparents are Lana Oyer of Sun Lakes; Jerry Bernstein of Columbus, Ohio; and Barbara and David Lane Sr. of Scottsdale.

Great-grandparents are the late Sadie and Isadore Bernstein; and the late Martha and Joseph Shagrin.

Jason attends Fremont Junior High School. His hobbies include basketball, skateboarding and surfing.

For his mitzvah project, Jason has been an usher and greeter at the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation. He has also donated food to the homeless and visited homebound families.



Harrison David Lehrman, son of Toby and Matt Lehrman of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Lola and Lew Lehrman of Scottsdale; Ida Rubin of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and the late Leroy Rubin.

Harrison attends Veritas Prepatory Academy. His hobbies include baseball and magic.



Dennis Aaron Fries, son of Lori Hope and Chuck Fries of Chandler, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Fredi and Joseph Fries of Rockville, Md.; Gloria Postal of Newberry, Fla.; and the late Martin Goldberg.

Great-grandparent is Jack Fries of Boca Raton, Fla.

Dennis' hobbies are ice hockey and animation.

For his mitzvah project, Dennis organized Operation Noah, which provided stuffed animals for children in the hospital.



Aaron Mandel Ivanhoe, son of Julie and Jonathan Ivanhoe of Chandler, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Grandparents are Rosa-lind Kaufman of Scottsdale; and Irene and Eugene Schwartz of Scottsdale.

Aaron attends Aprende Middle School. His hobbies include sports and cello.

For his mitzvah project, Aaron organized and volunteered several days at St. Mary's Food Bank and collected food for the bank.



Cailey Madelaine Indech, daughter of Toby and Dan Indech of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Ruth Gilad of Toronto; Hana and Michael Indech of Toronto; and the late Dov Gilad.

Cailey attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies include dance and playing the piano and saxophone.

For her mitzvah project, Cailey collected blankets, towels, cat food and dog food for the Arizona Humane Society's emergency clinic.



Andrew Michael Borovay, son of Mindy J. Borovay of Scottsdale and Joel H. Borovay of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Phyllis and Gerald Keizerstein of Sun Lakes; and Lila and Melvin Borovay of Phoenix.

Andrew attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies include golf and computers.

For his mitzvah project, Andrew collected books for the new Mesa Juvenile Facility and Durango Juvenile Detention and Courts libraries.



Kevin Alexander Tugenberg, son of Michelle and Steven Tugenberg of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Roberta and Robert Tugenberg of Chula Vista, Calif.; Nancy McRoberts of Scottsdale; and the late Louis McRoberts.

Kevin attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobby is reading.

For his mitzvah project, Kevin volunteered with HALO, a cat rescue program that partners with PetsMart to have cats adopted.



Kathryn Elizabeth Meyer, daughter of Pam and Bruce Meyer of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Bob Gillery of Scottsdale; Sandy and Stuart Meyer of Scottsdale; and the late Phyllis Gillery.

Kathryn attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobby is soccer.



Esther Elise Gotlieb, daughter of Barbara R. Kluger of Phoenix and Carleton Gotlieb of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Oct. 16, 2004, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Ilse Grant of Sun City; the late Howard Grant; and the late Esther and Irving Kluger.

Esther attends Shea Middle School. Her hobbies include playing violin, collecting stamps, swimming, reading, bowling and watching movies.
