People on the movePeter E. Ells has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix, following a 22-year career in hotel management in San Francisco and San Antonio.Joseph R. Cohen, DDS, was recently installed as president of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain at the organization's annual meeting. Cohen has been in private practice in the Valley for more than 30 years. Har Zion Congregation has elected its 2004-2005 officers: Andy Cooper, president; Steve Ference, executive vice president; Jennie Jacobs Kronenfeld, ritual vice president; Robert Frost, ways and means vice president; Sharon Guttell, education/youth vice president; Nancy Cohen, membership vice president; Abe Bochner, treasurer; Ken Matlick, secretary; and Sandy Karpen, past president. Board members are Sean Emery, Joan Gray, Pnina Levine, Blaire Mossman, Tom Norris, Shari Rosenberg, Sandra Trepper and Judith Zola. Kenneth I. Feldman has been named president of Ameritrade Holding Corporation's Private Client Division, where he will manage and develop the company's retail client business. He recently served as vice president and senior director of marketing at America West Airlines. He currently serves as president of Kivel Campus of Care. The Tri-City Jewish Community Center has selected its new board members: Jonathon Bodow, Joe Goldblatt, Kacey Gregson, Julia Miessner, Jay Scherotter and Tim Weber; George Jacobson has been elected to a second term. Amanda Blum has been appointed public relations director for AIDS WALK Arizona 2004. Blum and her agency, Howling Zoe Productions, are donating their time to the walk's steering committee. |
