Obituaries

Harold Resnick

Harold Resnick of Del Mar, Calif., died June 8, 2004. He was 76. He was born in New York. He was a retired accountant. He served in the Merchant Marines after World War II. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel in La Jolla, Calif.

Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Summers of Scottsdale; sons, Jeff of Boston and Rob of Paradise Valley; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Am Israel Mortuary in San Diego.

Contributions are suggested to his memorial fund at Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center, 1002 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix 85006.



Max Kaplan

Max Kaplan of Scottsdale died June 10, 2004. He was 89. He was born in Northtown, Penn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Annette; son, Milton of Tarzana, Calif.; brother, Herman of Philadelphia; and one grandchild.

Services were held at Freedom Inn Assisted Living. Arrangements were made by Green Acres Mortuary.

Rose Whitman

Rose Whitman of Scottsdale died June 11, 2004. She was 93. She was born in Uniontown, Penn., and moved to Arizona from Ohio in 1993. She was a member of Hadassah, Har Zion Congregation and the Har Zion Sisterhood.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Goodman of Scottsdale and Phyllis Shaffer of Temecula, Calif.; son, Marshall of Lake Elisnore, Calif.; sister, Lena Pevzner of Warren, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel. Arrange-ments were made by Sinai Mortuary.
