Drew Matthew Goldberg, son of Ellen and Danny Goldberg of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 12, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Jack Eisenberg of El Paso, Texas; Bobbi and Jay Goldberg of Plano, Texas; and the late Doris Eisenberg.

Drew attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobby is hockey.

For his mitzvah project, Drew arranged Goals for Cancer, a hockey event that earned money for Phoenix Children's Hospital.



Elyse Patricia Miller, daughter of Wendy Miller and David Miller, both of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 12, 2004, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Frances Berger of Cranston, R.I.; Esther Miller of Phoenix; the late John Berger; and the late Milton Miller.

Elyse attends Royal Palm Junior High. Her hobbies are reading, swimming, singing, drawing and watching movies.



Daniele Tia Laurie, daughter of Daniel Laurie of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 12, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Ruth and Gerald Laurie of Phoenix; and Randall Bain of Scottsdale.

Daniele attends Madison #1 Middle School. Her hobbies are soccer, drums, reading, drawing, computers and working with animals.



Heather Rita DePaola, daughter of Georgia and Rodolfo DePaola of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 12, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Lidia and Teofilo DePaola of Scottsdale; and the late Marilyn and Sidney Shore.

Great-grandparents are the late Goldie and Irving Jablons; the late Erminia and Albino Forlano; and the late Nicoletta and Rodolfo DePaola.

Heather attends El Dorado Private School. Her hobbies are dance and gymnastics.

For her mitzvah project, Heather helped out at a Temple Chai book drive and visited the elderly in a nursing home.



Sara Parker, daughter of Sue and Gary Parker of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 12, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Lynda Fallenberg of Cleveland; and Louise and Fred Parker of Tula Rosa, N.M.

Sara attends Akimel A-al Middle School. Her hobbies are softball, piano and karate.

For her mitzvah project, Sara volunteered at a nursing home and donated Beanie Babies to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
