Rachel Liebman, daughter of Terry Kraus and Bob Liebman, graduated from Chaparral High School and will attend Occidental College in the fall.

Mark Searle, a member of Beth El Congregation, has been named provost at Arizona State University West. He was previously vice provost for academic affairs at ASU-West. Searle will replace Elaine Maimon, who will serve as chancellor at the University of Alaska at Anchorage.

The Arizona Regional Board of Directors of the Anti-Defamation League has elected Helen Stern to succeed attorney Larry Lazarus as chairwoman of the board of directors. Additional board members are Mario E. Diaz; Steven Hammel, vice president and general manager of KPHO-TV; Rabbi Stephen Kahn of Temple Beth Israel; Lynn Rigberg; Ellen Lawson; and Sedona resident Ceile Blumen.
