Samuel Patrick Partridge, son of Karyl and Brad Partridge of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Mikki and Stan Glantz of Tampa, Fla.; and Dorothy and Richard Partridge of Bloomington, Minn.

Samuel attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobby is sports.

For his mitzvah project, Samuel will be donating toys to Phoenix Children's Hospital and sports equipment to Thomas J. Pappas School for Homeless Children.



Heather Suzanne Fillman, daughter of Michelle and Richard Fillman of Scottsdale, became a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Florence Kessler of Scottsdale; Kathryn Fillman of Yuma; the late William Kessler; and the late Robert Fillman.

Heather attends Mohave Middle School. Her hobbies are sports, cooking, clarinet and collecting monkeys.

For her mitzvah project, Heather brought her dog to visit nursing home residents.



Benjamin Driss, son of Marilyn and Leon Driss of Pinetop, will become a bar mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Esther and Harold Driss of Milwaukee, Wis.; and the late Mary and Owen Gensman.

Benjamin attends Blue Ridge Junior High School. His hobbies are computers, reading, skiing and rollerblading.

For his mitzvah project, Ben completed a 13 mitzvot project that included gemilut chassidim (community service/tzedakah), avodah (religious observance) and Torah study.



Jennifer Susan Pearlman, daughter of Sharon Pearlman of Phoenix and Alan Pearlman of Fountain Hills, will become a bat mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Gloria and George Pearlman of Silver Spring, Md.; and the late Harriet and Reuben Pomerantz.

Jennifer attends Rancho Solano Middle School. Her hobbies are singing, marine life and volleyball.

For her mitzvah project, Jennifer volunteered with the teen program at a Phoenix library.



Bethany Ann York, daughter of Stacey and Loren York of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Arlene Okin of Mesa; Shirley York of Scottsdale; the late Harry Okin; and the late Edward York.

Bethany attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies are playing the violin, dancing and volleyball.

For her mitzvah project, Bethany volunteered with the Hedge Rabbit Rescue Organization.



Benjamin Michael Raymond, son of Susan and Michael Raymond of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Marlene and Joel Benjamin of Phoenix; and Rose and Bill Raymond of Fountain Hills.

Great-grandparent is the late Belle Horwitz.

Benjamin attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies are soccer and collecting foreign coins.

For his mitzvah project, Benjamin collected materials for the Council for Jews with Special Needs' Family Fun Day.



Brandon Gabriel Jaffe, son of Stacey and Glenn Jaffe of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 5, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Robert Hirsch of Scottsdale; the late Jeanne Hirsch; and the late Tillie and William Jaffe.

Brandon attends Desert Canyon Middle School. His hobbies are golf, tennis and paintball.
