Simone Wagner, daughter of Eileen and Michael Wagner of Chandler, will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Thora Wagner West of Smithtown, N.Y.; Hart Wagner of Massapequa Park, N.Y.; Rosalie Brill of South Burlington, Vt., and West Palm Beach, Fla.; and the late Alan Brill.

Great-grandparents are the late Belle and Jacob West; the late Rose and Frank Wagner; the late Leah and Robert Farhi; and the late Dora and Robert Brill.

Simone's hobbies are electric guitar and drums.

For her mitzvah project, Simone will be collecting clothes and other supplies for an orphanage in Mexico.



Andrea May Becker, daughter of Barbara and Mathis Becker of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are Ruth and Louis Becker of Phoenix; Hilly Kaplan of Yodfat, Israel; and Mark Kaplan of Sun City.

Andrea attends Arizona School for the Arts. Her hobbies are oboe, piano, singing, acting and ballet, jazz and hip-hop dancing.

For her mitzvah project, Andrea donated pet food to the Humane Society and initiated a program in which she and her friends read to and tutored students at an inner-city elementary school.



Benjamin Jacob Leighton, son of Laurie and Jonathan Leighton of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Sandy and Bill Myers and Ruth Leighton, all of Phoenix; and the late Ben Leighton.

Great-grandparent is Mildred Spindel of Phoenix.

Benjamin attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies are baseball, guitar and reading.

For his mitzvah project, Benjamin received certification in pet therapy and made regular visits to a nursing home with Buster, a golden retriever.



Alison Jordan Greenland, daughter of Laura and Paul Greenland of Gahanna, Ohio, will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Israel.

Grandparents are Barbara and Rabbi B. Charles Herring of Phoenix; and Roberta and Jay Greenland of Naples, Fla.

Alison attends Columbus Jewish Day School. Her hobbies are dance, skiing and music.

For her mitzvah project, Alison organized a food drive for a local food bank.



Jacob Samuel Becker, son of Sara and David Becker of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Marilyn and Gary Reinstein of Toledo, Ohio; and Ruth and Gary Becker of Seattle.

Jacob attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies are basketball, tennis, golf, drawing and action movies.

For his mitzvah project, Jacob collected books for Sunnyslope Elementary School.



David Oksner, son of Judy and Jerry Oksner of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 29, 2004.

Grandparents are Jean and Mickey Oksner of Scottsdale; and Liz and Bill Lipper and Jack B. Weil, all of Denver.

Great-grandparent is Jack A. Weil of Denver.

David attends Explorer Middle School. His hobbies are tennis and drums.

For his mitzvah project, David volunteered at a nonprofit animal adoption agency.



Aaron Charles Jones, son of Barbara Gold and Mark Jones of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Esther and Hal Gold of Rialto, Calif.; and the late Virginia and William Jones.

Aaron attends Altadena Middle School. His hobbies are video games, spending time with friends and studying Hebrew.

For his mitzvah project, Aaron sent get-well cards and volunteered at a library.



Emily Reynolds, daughter of Karla and Bob Reynolds of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Joyce and Martin Shenker of New York and Southberry, Conn.; and Janet and Ralph Reynolds of North Hills, N.Y., and Palm Beach, Fla.

Emily attends New Way Learning Academy. Her hobbies are dance and gymnastics.

For her mitzvah project, Emily is raising money for a three-day walk for breast cancer.



Jilla Silver Falk, daughter of Taury and Michael Falk of Potomac, Md., will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Congregation Har Shalom.

Grandparents are Libby and Larry Falk of Haddonfield, N.J.; and Jackie and Stan Silver of Sun City West.

Jilla attends Julius West Middle School. Her hobbies are swimming, skiing, fashion shows and music.

For her mitzvah project, Jilla is donating part of her bat mitzvah money to a relief fund that helps children and the elderly in Romania.



Jessica Rose Gordon, daughter of Joanne and Jim Gordon of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 29, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Ruth and Al Siteman of St. Louis; and Joy and Mike Gordon of Winnetka, Ill.

Great-grandparent is Bertha Siteman of St. Louis.

Jessica attends Copper Ridge Middle School. Her hobbies are dance, tennis, computers and skiing.

For her mitzvah project, Jessica delivered Passover food to needy families.
