ObituariesMartin KaganMartin Kagan of La Jolla, Calif., died March 17, 2004. He was 84. He was born in New York and lived in Scottsdale from 1960-1998. He was a boot salesman. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of Grand Canyon B'nai B'rith.Survivors include his daughters, Suzie Schwartz of Encinitas, Calif., and Marilyn Kagan of Los Angeles; brother Stanley of Caldwell, N.J.; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside, Calif., with Rabbi Arthur Zuckerman officiating. Arrangements were made by Am Israel Mortuary in San Diego, Calif. Henrietta M. MillerHenrietta M. Miller of Peoria died May 18, 2004. She was 73. She was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona from Illinois in 1999. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her daughter Marilyn of Glendale; son Michael of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren. Private services were held. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Jerome BurgJerome Burg, age 68, passed away on May 13, 2004 at his home in Scottsdale surrounded by family after a battle with Multiple System Atrophy for more than seven years.He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on August 2nd, 1935 to parents Ruth and Norman Burg. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and is survived by his wife Janis; his six children Jeffrey Burg, David Burg, Harriet Bonner (Gene), Audree Jones, Robert Burg (Elsa), and Stephanie Rykaczewski (Paul); his sister Phyllis Gillery; and his eight grandchildren Brendan, Andie, Liam, Alex, Evan, Matthew, Kyle and Nicole. Growing up, he attended and graduated from New York Military Academy, and served in the U.S. Army. After attending Temple University, he worked in the insurance industry, residing in Cherry Hill, N.J. During that time he became the President of the New Jersey Devils hockey club. He moved to Scottsdale in 1979, pursuing a financial planning practice. While working for the Acacia Group, he was a radio talk show host for more that 10 years with shows on KFYI and KFNN, most notably KFNN's drive-time program, Money Talks. He was also an avid golfer and sports fan. He will long be remembered for his sense of humor and take on life. His attitude and demeanor, even through the course of his illness, was nothing short of amazing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Services were held May 16, 2004 at Green Acres Chapel of Light in Scottsdale. Albert SpinnerAlbert Spinner, age 88, of Chandler passed away May 14, 2004. Albert was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; son Leonard (Arleen) Spinner; daughter Cynthia E. Valencia; sister Edyth Cutler; three brothers, Herman, Marvin and Chuck Spinner; sister-in-law Ruth Zangwil; three granddaughters, Ellen Spinner, Sherri Lerner and Heidi Archuleta; and three great-grandchildren, Lydia and Shane Archuleta and Alexandra Lerner.Services were held May 17th in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
