B'nai Mitzvah
Alec Michael Rochford, son of Deb and Terrence Rochford of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 15, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Arlene and Philip Mobell of Denver; Lorrayne Rochford of Phoenix; and the late William Rochford.
Alec attends Villa Montessori School. His hobbies are tennis, snowboarding, paintball and skateboarding.
For his mitzvah project, Alec fed the homeless at the Andre House and volunteered at Southwest Center for Autism.
Elana Rachel Niren, daughter of Samara and Ralph Wexler of Scottsdale and Lawrence Niren of Atlanta, will become a bat mitzvah May 15, 2004, at Scottsdale Radisson Resort Hotel.
Grandparents are Annette Kimelman of Scottsdale; Selma Fauer and David Niren of Atlanta; Clare and Phil Wexler of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; the late Nathan Kimelman; and the late Leba Niren.
Elana attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies are tennis, playing the clarinet, reading and art.

Michael attends Mountain Trails Middle School. His hobbies are basketball, all-terrain vehicles and swimming.
For his mitzvah project, Michael has participated in the social action class at Temple Chai and volunteered at the Thunderbird Family Village for families who are victims of homelessness and domestic violence.
Brian Todd Mazel, son of Lisa and Joseph Mazel of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah May 15, 2004, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Hilda and Melvin Silver of Scottsdale; and Vicky and Alan Mazel of Great Neck, N.Y.
Brian attends Desert Canyon Middle School. His hobbies are playing the trumpet, baseball, biking and water sports.
For his mitzvah project, Brian performed 13 mitzvot: a combination of gemilut chassidim (community service/tzedakah), avodah (religious observance) and Torah study.
Addison Michal Steinberg, daughter of Pamela and Michael Steinberg of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 15, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

Addison attends The Tesseract School. Her hobbies are volleyball, soccer, dance, drama and chorus.

For his mitzvah project, Alexander collected citrus for St. Mary's Food Bank and collected toys for Crisis Nursery.
