Sara Borodin and Dan Chandler of Washington, D.C., announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Judy and Allan Borodin of Toronto; and Barbara and Allen Chandler of Phoenix.
The bride-to-be received her bachelor's degree in Middle East and religious studies from McGill University, and her graduate degree in international peace and conflict resolution from American University. She is a diplomat, Morocco desk officer at the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The groom-to-be received his bachelor's degree in business and e-commerce from University of Phoenix. He is a software engineer for Verizon.
A Sept. 5, 2004, wedding is planned in Toronto.
