B'nai Mitzvah

Rachel Buck Groetsch, daughter of Rhonda Buck and Joseph Groetsch of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 1, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Barbara and Joseph Groetsch of Glenside, Penn.; Ruth Buck of Sun City West; and the late Mitchel Buck.

Rachel attends The King David School. Her hobbies are ice skating, volleyball, dance, computers and swimming.

For her mitzvah project, Rachel fed the homeless at Watkins Overflow Shelter, raised money for Israeli terrorism victims in conjunction with the student council and tutored elementary school children in reading.



Aimee Ann Morrison, daughter of Leesa Morrison and David Morrison, both of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah April 30, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Audrey and Mickey Berens of Tucson, Robert Morrison of Wauke-gan, Ill., and the late Janet Morrison.

Aimee attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are dance, tennis and snowboarding.



Philip Brian Peck, son of Rheta Peiser and Murray Peck of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah May 1, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Philip attends Looking Glass School. His hobby is sports.

For his mitzvah project, Philip assisted in his religious school office and in Sunday school classrooms.



Samuel Baumann Brodie, son of Bridget and Russ Brodie of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah May 1, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Irma and Jayson Brodie of Wagland, Mass.; Nancy and Duane Baumann of St. Louis; Denise Kelly of Tampa, Fla.; and the late Sandra Brodie.

Great-grandparent is Burnice Baumann of Mohik, Ill.

Samuel's hobbies are baseball, tennis and computers.

For his mitzvah project, Samuel helped organize a bowl-a-thon for Easter Seals.
