B'nai Mitzvah

Adam Craig Zuckor-Szajman, son of Marion Zukor-Szajman of Scottsdale and Barry Szajman of Toronto, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Tova and Josef Szajman of Toronto; Muriel Zuckor of Scottsdale; and Joseph Zuckor of Buckeye.

Adam attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies are spending time with friends, bass guitar, basketball and track.

For his mitzvah project, Adam helped the American Cancer Society make packets for a fund-raiser and donated babysitting money to the National Jewish Medical Research Center for Asthma and the Keren-Or Jerusalem Center for Multi-Handicapped Blind Children.



Michael Joseph Morris-Nussbaum, son of Polly Morris and Randy Nussbaum of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Iris and Irv Nussbaum of Scottsdale; and the late Nikki and Dennis Morris.

Great-grandparents are the late Pearl and Ben Pearl; the late Polly and Edward Morris; the late Molly and Sam Nussbaum; and the late Bella and Joseph Freid.

Michael attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies are basketball, skateboarding, and comic book collecting.

For his mitzvah project, Michael visited a nursing home and worked at a homeless shelter.



Blaine Auguste O'Malley, daughter of Diane and Patrick O'Malley of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Barbara and Bernard Arkules; and Joan and Paul O'Malley.

Blaine attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are softball, soccer, skiing, cooking, writing and participating in the National Charity League.



Rachel Elyse Kaplan, daughter of Francyn and Richard Kaplan of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Sarah and Stuart Simon of Northbrook Ill., and Scottsdale; Ethel and Charles Kaplan of Detroit; and the late Morton Filerman.

Rachel attends Desert Canyon Middle School. Her hobbies are tennis, dance, violin, shopping, spending time with friends and working on the computer.

For her mitzvah project, Rachel collected food, clothing, toys and toiletries and donated them to various local charities and food banks.



Michael Alan Cohn, son of Linda and James Cohn of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Barbara and Bernard Arkules of Paradise Valley; and Vicki and Burton Cohn of Northbrook, Ill.

Michael attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies are snowboarding, sports and drums.



Jared Andrew Kirschner, son of Heidi and Barry Kirschner of Glendale, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple B'rith Shalom.

Grandparents are Lois and Bert Kirschner of Prescott; and Bonnie and Keith Ingram of Stanwood, Mich.

Jared attends Hillcrest Middle School. His hobbies are club soccer, baseball, basketball and stock market simulation competitions.



Shawn Sarembock, son of Neil Sarembock of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Shawn attends Ingleside Middle School. His hobbies are baseball, football and video games.

For his mitzvah project, Shawn donated clothes and toys to a homeless shelter.



Sydney Irene Kramer, daughter of Leslie and Sam Kramer of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Merle and Mike Kramer of Northbrook, Ill.; and Dolores and Gerald Reitner of Fountain Hills.

Sydney attends New Way Academy. Her hobbies are karate and art.



Brett Michael Lewis, son of Lori and Bob Lewis of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah April 24, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Seline and Lawrence Bushkin of Paradise Valley; Mort Lewis of Phoenix; and the late Geri Lewis.

Brett attends Mohave Middle School. His hobbies are bass guitar, skateboarding and riding go-peds.

For his mitzvah project, Brett collected stuffed animals and toys for Phoenix Children's Hospital.
