Obituaries

Minnie Berkowitz

Minnie Berkowitz of Plymouth, Minn., died April 10, 2004. She was 86. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Arizona from 1975-1997. She was a member and office manager of Beth Hebrew Congregation, and was a lifetime member of Beth El Congregation.

Survivors include her son, Jerome of Plymouth, Minn.; daughter, Barbara Kirschner of Peoria; brother, Morris Rosenberg of Sunrise, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Phoenix Memorial Park, with Rabbi Peter S. Levi officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix 85006.



Clara F. Menack

Clara F. Menack of Phoenix died April 11, 2004. She was 86. She was born in Budapest, Hungary, and moved to Arizona from New York in 1974. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Max; son, Steven of Mountain Lakes, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Beth El Cemetery, with Rabbi Arthur Lavinsky officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix 85021.



Marie Lory

Marie Lory passed away on April 11, 2004. She was a retired psychologist who founded North Central Counseling in Phoenix. Marie was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald F. Lory.

Survivors include her daughters Leslie Lory (Wade Ketchum) and Lisa (Rich) McCormick; son Evan Lory; and grandchildren Justin Lory and Jeff and Danielle McCormick.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 15th at Temple Beth Israel in Scottsdale. Contributions in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014; or Arizona Humane Society, 9226 N. 13th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
