Precision Eyecare, Inc. has opened at 7970 E. Thompson Peak Parkway, Suite 120, Scottsdale. Ophthalmologist Steven Checroun, M.D., and optometrist Gina Simmons, O.D., provide a complete medical, surgical and optometric practice. The husband and wife team formerly practiced together in South Bend, Ind. Their practice specializes in managing corneal diseases and performing corneal transplants, as well as cataract surgery and LASIK (refractive surgery). Call 480-874-3937.

Dr. Michael A. Steingart of Phoenix has been invited by the Israeli Spinal Society to be a keynote speaker and instructor on selective endoscopic dis-ectomy of the lumbar spine. Steingart is one of fewer than 30 surgeons in the world specializing in this procedure.

Larry Bleich has joined the staff of the Phoenix Symphony as development director.
