Passover Briefs

Beth Emeth Congregation

Beth Emeth Congregation will hold a traditional seder 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, at the synagogue, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West.

Costs for the seder dinner are $40 members, $45 nonmembers, $20 children under age 13.

Chabad of the West Valley

Chabad of the West Valley will hold a communal seder both nights of Passover which will include a fully catered kosher meal and explanatory Hagaddah reading.

Har Zion Congregation

Har Zion Men's Club will hold a traditional second night seder 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, in Har Zion Congregation's social hall, 6140 E. Thunderbird Road, Scottsdale.

Rabbi Mark Bisman and Cantor Bernard Savitz will officiate.

Nonmember cost is $28 adult, $20 children 6-12 and $12 for children 5 and under. Cost includes a seder meal with a choice of roast chicken, salmon or vegetarian.

Project Elijah

Project Elijah, a Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center program, will match up those who want to host people at their Passover seder with those who need a place to go.

Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation

Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation will have a seder 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Oakwood Country Club, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes.

Cost is $27 adults, $12 children under 10, free for children under 5.

Temple Emanuel's women's seder

Temple Emanuel will hold its third annual women's seder 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the synagogue, 5801 S. Rural Road, Tempe.

The program includes a dairy Passover-style potluck and a necklace art project.

Cost is $5 members, $8 nonmembers and an additional $10 for the Ma'yan Haggadah.

The seder is open to all Jewish women ages 13 and older. Young women under 18 may share the Haggadah with their mothers.

Temple Gan Elohim

Temple Gan Elohim will host a Passover celebration 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Sun City Grand's Apache Room at the Chaparral Center, 17981 N. Remington Drive, Surprise.

The celebration includes a traditional seder, a Havdalah service, dinner catered and served by Dillion's and festive songs led by Scott Leader.

Cost for adults is $29 members, $38 nonmembers. Children ages 2-10 are $7-$15 members, $10-$20 non-members.
