The Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center's Tradeshow, featuring more than 100 businesses and services, was visited by more than 1,500 people on Feb. 22.

"(The) Tradeshow raised approximately $26,000 which goes directly to benefit the youth scholarship fund at the JCC," says Amy Petrovsky, producer of the event. "Thank you to our sponsors, Jewish News of Greater Phoenix, KFNN 1510 Radio, Sierra Pointe, JBW Entertainment and Sensational Events for their continuing support."

Stuart M. Crawford of Waterfield Financial says this was his first time participating in the Tradeshow, and while he expected more people to attend, he was pleased with the event and will participate again next year.

"It is a great idea and the networking possibilities are endless," he says. "I found it more productive networking with other vendors as opposed to the general public walking around."

Jim Rosenfield of Allstate Insurance recently moved to the Valley from Chicago and says he wanted to use the opportunity to tap into the Jewish community.

"I met so many people from the 'old neighborhood' that I haven't seen in many, many years, people from grammar school (and) high school, people (who) knew people that I knew," he recalls. "I really connected with my past and I now feel more connected with Arizona."
