Brett Alan Dinner, son of Janice and Dean Dinner of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah on Feb. 28, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Janice and Albert Dinner of Denver; and Sandy and John Eastham of Albuquerque, N.M.

Great-grandparents are Ilse Cohn Clausner of Albuquerque, N.M.; and the late Alfred Cohn.

Brett attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies are soccer, skiing, baseball and hiking.

For his mitzvah project, Brett assisted the Council for Jews With Special Needs by helping autistic teenagers with exercise and working on special projects.



Lauren Sarah Sokol, daughter of Vicky and Larry Sokol of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 28, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Helen F. Devoe of Chandler; Jaime Frausto of Mexico; and Edith and Max Sokol of Glenview, Ill.

Lauren attends Desert Shadows Middle School. Her hobbies are soccer, dance, singing and skiing.

For her mitzvah project, Lauren did three food drives in her neighborhood for Paradise Valley Food Bank.



Alexander Samuel Davidson, son of Lisa and Richard Davidson of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 28, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Gloria and Charles Arquette of Scottsdale; June Davidson of West Hartford, Conn.; and the late Harold Davidson.

Alex attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies are flying remote control airplanes, fishing, baseball and attending hockey games.

For his mitzvah project, Alex created a living history project by interviewing U.S. veterans.



Samantha Faye Shulman, daughter of Jill and Ira Shulman of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 28, 2004, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Ruth and Harold Borden of Los Angeles; and the late Fanny and Theodore Shulman.

Samantha attends The King David School. Her hobbies are playing on the school basketball team and computers.



Oren Barker, son of Judy Barker of Tempe and Ken Barker of Yuma, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 28, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Diana Krohn of Del Mar, Calif.; Larry Borden of Glendale; and Estelle Barker of Yuma.

Oren attends Pueblo Middle School. His hobbies are Boy Scouts, cello and chess.

For his mitzvah project, Oren will be coordinating a team for a cystic fibrosis walk in April 2004.



Jenna Mariesa Polsky, daughter of Joyce and Gary Polsky of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 28, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Betty and Sid Meshel of Phoenix; and Helen and Jerry Summerfield of Memphis, Tenn.

Great-grandparent is Goldie Toys of Shreveport, La.

Jenna attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies are flute, piano and computers.
