Obituaries

Sheila Goettl

Sheila Goettl of Phoenix died Feb. 10, 2004. She was 39. She was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, and moved to Arizona from Israel in 1988. She was a financial aid officer and an arts student at Phoenix College. She served in the Israeli Defense Force. Survivors include her husband, Nick; daughter, Mariah; stepson, Nick, Jr. of Bellview, Ky.; mother, Mazal Mark of Holon, Israel; brother, Tony Mark of Mazekert Batya, Israel; and grandfather, Avraham Ifrach of Moshav Revaya, Israel.

Services were held at Givaat Shaul Cemetery in Jerusalem. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Joseph Charles Nelson

Joseph Charles Nelson of Mesa died Feb. 12, 2004. He was 19. He was born in Arizona. He was a carpenter and part-time student. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #451 and became an Eagle Scout in spring 2003. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 2003.

Survivors include his parents, Elaine and Richard of Mesa; sisters, Rachel of Scottsdale and Abigail of Mesa; and grandmother, Beatrice Zuckerman of Phoenix.

Services were held at Green Acres Cemetery, with Rabbi Andrew Straus and Rabbi David Pinkwasser officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to Arizona Humane Society, 9226 N. 13th Ave., Phoenix 85021.



Seymour Rosenberg

Seymour Rosenberg of Phoenix died Feb. 15, 2004. He was 78. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to Arizona from New York in 1972. He was a retired pharmacist.

Survivors include his daughter, Janet Love of Paradise Valley; brothers Bernie and Irving, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Beth El Cemetery, with Rabbi Irwin Wiener officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.
