B'nai Mitzvah
Aaron Andrew Baumann, son of Susan and Robert Baumann of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Harriette and Milton Herman of Phoenix; and Diana and Leo Baumann of Scottsdale.
Great-grandparent is Rosaria "Sadie" Hocken of Scottsdale.
Aaron attends Phoenix Country Day School. His hobbies are baseball, tennis, music and reading.
For his mitzvah project, Aaron organized and participated in a concert for patients at Good Samaritan Hospital. He also participated in a string quartet that played at a benefit for grieving children.
Joshua Solomon Bochner, son of Cheryl and Abe Bochner of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Har Zion Congregation.
Grandparents are Florence Kulekofsky of Phoenix; Harriet Bochner of Phoenix; the late Harvey Kulekofsky; and the late Sol Bochner.
Great-grandparents are the late Harriet and Henry Levine; and the late Bertie and Max Kulekofsky.
Joshua attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies are tennis, hockey, bowling, swimming, reading and computers.
Karie Burgheimer, daughter of Kathleen and Robert Burgheimer of Mesa, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.
Grandparents are Millie and Simon Burgheimer of Tucson; and Maureen and John Hamm of Prescott Valley.
Great-grandparent is Ruth Cullen of Dewey.
Karie attends Shepherd Junior High School. Her hobbies are gymnastics, dance and art.
For her mitzvah project, Karie collected and distributed school supplies to needy children and delivered holiday gifts to needy children.
Isaac Gealer, son of Vivian and Charles Gealer of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.
Grandparents are Trudy and Jack Driker of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and Norma and Roy Gealer of Phoenix.
Isaac attends Kyrene Altadena Middle School. His hobbies are saxophone, guitar and street hockey.
For his mitzvah project, Isaac will be conducting a book drive for the Reach Out and Read program at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Ean Bryce Wilk, son of Franne and Stephen Wilk of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Diane and Jerome Wilk of Phoenix; Lenore Riech of Tempe; and the late Norman Riech.
Ean attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies are hockey and other sports.
For his mitzvah project, Ean helped clean up a park on Mitzvah Day, led a craft project with One Darn Cool School at Phoenix Children's Hospital and fed families at Ronald McDonald House.
Brett Norris, son of Debbie and Michael Norris of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.
Grandparents are Betty and Nathan Norris of Paradise Valley; Claudia Michalson of Scottsdale; and Robert Michalson of New York City.
Brett attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies include playing on a baseball travel team and playing basketball and guitar.

Mark attends Explorer Middle School. His hobby is basketball.
For his mitzvah project, Mark acted as a coaches' assistant at Special Olympics and fed the homeless at Watkins Overflow Shelter.

Aaron attends Veritas Preparatory Academy. His hobbies are football, basketball, baseball, music, movies, travel and attending sports events.
For his mitzvah project, Aaron collected books for the Thomas J. Pappas School for homeless children.
Erica Alana Morris, daughter of Bonnie and Roger Morris of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 14, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Erica attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies are baking, reading, singing, sports and art.
For her mitzvah project, Erica participated in the "Sweetest Mitzvah" 13 mitzvot project. She helped with bake sales to benefit Israeli soldiers and Israeli and Palestinian children who are terrorism victims. She also participated in Mitzvah Day and Bikkor Cholim.
