B'nai Mitzvah
Neil Michael Frielich, son of Robin and Herb Frielich of Prescott, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 7, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Betty and Samuel Kleiner of Boca Raton, Fla.; Roberta and Benjamin Yaffe of Weston, Fla.; Nancy and George Bereznick of Orangeburg, N.Y.; and the late Nathan Frielich.
Great-grandparents are the late Eva and Joseph Meyers; the late Lillian and Meyer Frielich; the late Molly and Jacob Berkowitz; the late Celia Bereznick; and the late Jacob Bereznick.
Neil attends Granite Mountain Middle School. His hobbies are drawing, playing drums, reading "Harry Potter" books, science experiments, movies and music.
For his mitzvah project, Neil helped prepare meals for a Meals on Wheels program.
Jordan L. King, son of Jennie and John King of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 7, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.
Grandparents are Marion and Joseph Cohen of New Orleans; Hilbert Loeb of New Orleans; Franca Savarese of Newport News, Va.; and Helga King of Vero Beach, Fla.
Jordan attends Centennial Middle School. His hobbies are soccer, bike-riding and hiking.
For his mitzvah project, Jordan was a volunteer counselor during an Arizona Science Center camp.
Hannah Elizabeth Love, daughter of Brenda Church and Ken Love of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 7, 2004, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Ruth Love of Pittsburgh; Lois Church of Riceville, Iowa; the late Howard Love; and the late William Church.
Hannah attends Khalsa Montessori School. Her hobbies are skateboarding, softball and writing.
For her mitzvah project, Hannah participated in a book drive for Phoenix Children's Hospital. She also participated in a 13 mitzvot program, where she volunteered at Crisis Nursery and tutored younger children at her school in reading.
Madeline Sands, daughter of Joyce Grossman and Jon Sands of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 7, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.
Grandparents are Sue and Dan Linney of Goodyear.
Madeline attends Magnet Traditional School. Her hobbies are basketball and reading.
For her mitzvah project, Madeline helped clean up her community.
