Readers voice preferences for presidential candidates

Leading up to the Arizona Democratic presidential primary, a number of strong candidates remain. Jewish News asked readers to respond to the question, "Which candidate do you support for president and why?"

I met Wesley Clark two years ago at a convention. I heard him speak. I met him, and I had the opportunity to speak with him one-on-one. Wes Clark is intelligent and knowledgeable on a wide array of subjects. He has depth on all those subjects. He is lucid and articulate. He is a quick learner on subjects new to him. Please join me in voting for Wes Clark.

As a long-time Libertarian, I will support the Libertarian nominee for president, the only candidate of principle. On Jan. 31, Arizonans can meet the candidates at our convention in Tucson. Of course, unlike the two welfare parties, Libertarians won't burden Arizona taxpayers with the costs of nominee selection. We won't participate in Arizona's presidential primary on Feb. 3, a taxpayer-funded beauty contest, for this reason.
Michael Kielsky
Secretary, Arizona Libertarian Party, Mesa

Like my state of Illinois, Arizona has seen jobs disappearing. Individuals in Arizona have horror stories of their battles with health insurance companies. Students, knowing they have a right to free public education, see it truncated after high school. I searched for a candidate that is humane, intelligent, and interested in the people of this country, not the big corporations. I have found him in the candidacy of Dennis Kucinich.
