Ari N. Lewine, a junior at the Jess Schwartz Jewish Community High School, has been awarded the Percy Weinberg Scholarship by the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity, for his excellent academic average and participation in athletics and other activities. Sigma Alpha Mu is one of five Jewish fraternities on college campuses around the nation.

Debbie Wink, administrative assistant at Temple Chai, recently published her first in a series of three children's titles, titled "Sam and the Floorboard Gang, the First Adventure." Visit www.1stbooks.com.

Sara Lewin has been hired as business coordinator at Chimera Interior Design.

Business Volunteers for the Arts has elected eight new members to its board of directors.
