Temple Kol Ami adult b'nai mitzvah
Fifteen men and women will become b'nai mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

The group includes Aaron Berg, Dorothy Blaire, Paul Breslau, Joanne and Sanford Fineman, Karen and Gary Goldberg, Christine and Jack Itzkowitz, Jill Kessler, Michelle and Eric Lemor, Helene Rashkow, David Silverman and Julie Zeidler.



Jordan Nathan Weinstein, son of Lori and Neal Weinstein of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Gloria and Marvin Bookstein of West Bloomfield, Mich.; Abraham Weinstein of Scottsdale; and the late Bernice Weinstein.

Jordan attends The King David School. His hobbies are fencing, snowboarding, watching movies and school sports.

For his mitzvah project, Jordan collected towels and blankets for an animal shelter and made sandwiches on Mitzvah Day.



Zachary Robert Laven, son of Wendy and Paul Laven of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Rhoda and Harvey Goldvarg of Scottsdale; and Ada and Harold Laven of Scottsdale.

Great-grandparent is Lillian Hechtman of West Bloomfield, Mich.

Zachary attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies are tennis and computers.

For his mitzvah project, Zachary collected videos for Phoenix Children's Hospital.



Sara Haley Goldstein, daughter of Beth Shapiro and Steve Goldstein of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004.

Grandparents are Lucille and Louis Shapiro of Butler, Penn.; and Yvette and Bernard Goldstein of Phoenix.

Sara attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies are singing, theater, playing the viola and traveling.

For her mitzvah project, Sara volunteered with the Hadassah/BJE Training Wheels program and collected dolls for a children's shelter.



Max David Gottlieb, son of Daniele and Bob Gottlieb of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004, at Temple Chai.

Grandparent is Anne Daniele of South Holland, Ill.

Max attends Desert Canyon Middle School. His hobbies are computers, skateboarding and football.

For his mitzvah project, Max collected towels and blankets for Animal Rabies Control.



Jordan Abraham Finestone, son of Justin Finestone of Mesa, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 24, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Zelda and Robert Finestone of Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Jordan attends Taylor Junior High School. His hobby is football.
