B'nai Mitzvah
Rebecca Emily Morris, daughter of Anne and Michael Morris of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.
Grandparents are Eleanor and Julian Morris of Seattle; Lois Nelson of Eugene, Ore.; and the late Paul Nelson.
Rebecca attends Sunrise Middle School. Her hobbies include gymnastics and the Phoenix Children's Choir.
Danielle Lauren Dobrusin, daughter of Sheri and Richard Dobrusin of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Marriot McDowell Mountains Resort.
Grandparents are Ruth and Bernard Dobrusin of New York City; and Roslyn and Frederick Miller of Philadelphia.
Danielle attends Desert Shadows Middle School. Her hobbies include acting, exercising, art and going to the mall.
Jessica Ashley Glick, daughter of Lauren and Bernard Glick of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Har Zion Congregation.
Grandparents are Francine Jaffe of Phoenix; Dave Jaffe of Los Angeles; Heda Glick of Detroit; and the late Simon Glick.
Jessica attends Sunrise Middle School. Her hobbies are track, basketball, shopping and hanging out with her friends.
For her mitzvah project, Jessica collected used videotapes and DVDs to be donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Benjamin Berey, son of Lori and Bruce Berey of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Emanuel.
Grandparents are Beverly Berey of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Juanita and Ron Jones of Valparaiso, Ind.
Benjamin attends Altadena Middle School. His hobbies are hockey and guitar.
For his mitzvah project, Benjamin volunteered at and raised money for Special Olympics.
Robert Michael Atkins, son of Susan and Steven Atkins of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Vivian and Francis Atkins of Laguna Woods, Calif.; and the late Loretta and Aloysius Kongs.
Robert attends Shea Middle School. His hobbies include football, music and skateboarding.
For his mitzvah project, Robert volunteered at children's events at the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center. He also did office work for Hadassah and collected and delivered clothing to a homeless shelter.
Blake Maxwell Stein Curtis, son of Abby and Mark Curtis of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Blake attends Cheyenne Traditional School. His hobbies include hanging out with friends, golf and playing the drums.

Gil attends Explorer Middle School. His hobbies include sports and outdoor activities.
For his mitzvah project, Gil participated in a park clean-up, volunteered with Hadassah and assisted with Shabbat dinners at a retirement/assisted living home.
Eric Andrew Goldman, son of Leslie and Richard Goldman of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Millie and Howard Gabriel of Scottsdale; Joanna Lee of East Hampton, N.Y.; and the late Irwin Goldman.
Eric attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies include Phoenix Boys Choir, music, computers, and video games.
For his mitzvah project, Eric researched music from the Holocaust and created a collection of music to be donated to local institutions of learning.
Spencer Logan Arias, son of Abbe and Merlin Arias of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 17, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Joan and Ralph Levine of Las Vegas; and Adelia and Sergei Arias of Scottsdale.
Great-grandparents are Penny Mead of Longview, Wash.; the late Richard Bruce; the late Sarah and Jack Levine; the late Esther and Leroy Goodknecht; and the late Catalina and Emeterio Arias.
Spencer attends Explorer Middle School. His hobbies include watching movies, playing saxophone and reading.
For his mitzvah project, Spencer helped out at the Habitat for Humanity carnival. He also donated toys to and prepared and served meals at the Ronald McDonald House.
