Obituaries

Henry Deleeuw

Henry Deleeuw of Carefree died Dec. 23, 2003. He was 92. He was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona from New York in 2003. He was a retired CPA and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; sons, Fred of Danbury, Conn., Karel of Carefree and Robert of Houston; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Paradise Memorial Gardens with Rabbi Herbert Silberman officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.



Judy (Salzman) Barnes

Judy (Salzman) Barnes, age 82, of Phoenix passed away at her home on December 18, 2003. She was born in Cleveland and came to the Valley in 1950 from L.A. She owned and operated Arizona Collection Service for 30 years. Judy was a past president of the Arizona Collectors Association. She was a talented poet and writer. She will be remembered by her positive attitude, great sense of humor and beautiful smile that could light up a room.

She is survived by her son Harry (Deborah Raden) Salzman of Colorado Springs and her daughter Bonnie Salzman of Phoenix. Graveside services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Kivel Campus of Care and Hospice of the Valley.
