The Women's Department of Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix announces the commencement of Kol Ishah interns for the class of 2002-2003. Kol Ishah, A Woman's Voice, is a 12-month leadership development program for women. Graduates are Judy Bassett, Amy Blavin, Jodi Freeman, Ellen Friedman, Hannah Goldberg, Nancy Herman, Michelle Hicks, Beth Hoffman, Karen Koven, Julee Landau, Hanna Lange, Karen Moskowitz, Leisah Namm, Cristina Perelman, Dale Sachs, Judy Searle, Leslee Small, Judy Solomon and Lynne Wellish.

Elaine Schreiber of Phoenix has been named regional vice president of the Southwest Region of AMIT, a supporter of religious Zionist education and social services for Israeli youth.

Amanda Swain has been named executive director of the Arizona Humanities Council, a nonprofit organization working with the National Endowment for the Humanities to support grants and public programs that encourage Arizonans to tell and understand their stories.
