Jeffrey Frankel has been promoted to synagogue admin-istrator of Beth El Con-gregation. Frankel will work with all synagogue staff to create innovative programs, monitor facilities management and deal with fiscal respon-sibilities. He will remain director for the youth and young adult programming for Beth El.

Bruce Meyer, JD, CPA, has been appointed advanced planning specialist of Progressive Financial Concepts. The firm is associated with New England Financial.

Sharon Tindell, a 25-year sales and marketing professional and licensed realtor, has been named to head Prudential Arizona Properties, Transaction Services Department.

Extreme Pita announces its first Arizona location, at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd., Suite 1066, Phoenix.

Sandi Hicks has been named Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year for Medium Sized Organizations by ONE, the Organization for Nonprofit Executives. Hicks is the Challenger Space Center executive director.

Stephanie Scher has been named staffing manager for Management Recruiters International of Scottsdale. She will assist the office in managing 20 new positions over the next 12 months.

Chrysalis, a domestic violence agency, has announced its new mission statement and logo, the result of a nine- month agency self-assessment through the Arizona State University Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management.

Scottsdale Leadership, Inc., an organization dedicated to developing future community leaders through education, skill development, mentoring and community trustreeship, has received the 2003 Sterling Award from the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes excellence in the nonprofit field.
