People on the moveDr. Michael Steingart of Phoenix, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has been elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians (AADEP).The Phoenix Holocaust Survivors' Association has elected officers and board of directors for the 2003-2004 year. Officers are David Kader, president; Helen Handler, vice president first generation; Judy Searle, vice president second generation; Paul Wieser, recording secretary; Joan Silver, corresponding secretary; and Edie Wade, treasurer. Board of directors are Ella Adler, Saralyn Lasner, Clare and Stephen Lerman, Carl Ofisher, Betty Schimmel and Leeann Wieser. Honorary member of the board is Harry Adler. Marc Kelman has been elected president of the Jewish National Fund-Arizona region. Newly elected board members are Ron Finkel, Sandi Fuller, Nelson Lerner and David Weiner. Board members newly elected to two-year terms are Allan Bulman, Brad Dimond, David Frazer, Dan Hall, Leo Kelman, Steve Klemow, Don Lubin, David Malin, Adam Nach, Bob Roth, Joe Roth, Steve Scheiner, Mike Schoor, Earl Schwartz, Steve Stralser and Sara Ziskin. Other board members are Carolyn Goldman, Mark Goldman, Amy Kahn and Sue Karatz. Marilu Knode has been named senior curator at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. She was formerly senior curator at the Institute of Visual Arts at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Arizona State University alumni Barry Aarons, Terry Goddard and Jeff Patrick have been selected to receive the 2003 ASU Alumni Association Service Award for their continued dedication to ASU. |
