B'nai Mitzvah
Eric Michael Fram, son of Evelyn and Evan Fram of Paradise Valley, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Temple Solel.
Eric attends Phoenix Country Day School. His hobbies include computers, music, electronic games, golf, reading and playing with his dogs.
For his mitzvah project, Eric performed 13 mitzvot, including a combination of Torah, avodah (prayer) and gemilut chasadim (acts of kindness).
Brett Michael Lakin, son of Judy and Harry Lakin of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Loraine and Merv Lakin of Scottsdale, and the late Barbara and Jack Schultz.
Brett attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include singing, hip-hop music, listening to music and drawing cartoons.
For his mitzvah project, Brett collected stuffed animals for Phoenix Children's Hospital and helped set up the library at the VOSJCC preschool.
David Michael Levin, son of Helene and Steven Levin of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Temple Kol Ami.
Grandparents are Mardell and Sol Newman of Phoenix; Hy Levin of Phoenix; and the late Martha Levin.
David attends Madison #1 Middle School. His hobbies include baseball, basketball, video games, playing saxophone in his school's jazz band and participating in the National Junior Honor Society.
For his mitzvah project, David was a teacher's aide at Temple Kol Ami.
Jacob Shore, son of Georgeann Polansky of Phoenix and Lawrence Shore of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Beth El Congregation.
Grandparents are Gert and Aaron Shore of Phoenix; and Wilfred Higgins of Phoenix.
Jacob attends New Way Learning Academy. His hobbies include reading, singing, attending Diamondbacks games and playing video games.
Alessandra Sydni Zucker, daughter of Jeryl and Steve Zucker of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Ruach Hamidbar.
Grandparents are Roberta and Allan Zucker of Scottsdale; and Janice and Richard Compton of Buzzards Bay, Mass.
Great-grandparents are the late Ray and Nathan Zucker; the late Sarah and Sidney Bodenstein; the late Lucy and Jack Lee; and the late Susie and Alphonse Marino.

Marisa Ashlee Pilvinis, daughter of Phillis and Harry Pilvinis of Cave Creek, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Sandra Sax of Surprise and the late Myer Sax.
Marisa attends Sonoran Trails Middle School. Her hobbies include soccer, reading and listening to music.
For her mitzvah project, Marisa collected towels, sheets and blankets and donated them to an animal rescue shelter.
Tess Rachel Suchoff, daughter of Diana and Dan Suchoff of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 22, 2003, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are the late Helen and Irving Waller; the late Lois Shane; and the late Benjamin Suchoff.
Tess attends Veritas Prepatory Academy. Her hobbies include horseback riding, theater, singing and spending time with friends.
For her mitzvah project, Tess made T-shirt pillows for Phoenix Children's Hospital, fed the homeless at Watkins Overflow Shelter, made sandwiches for a food bank, wrapped holiday gifts for children in shelters and collected donations for the AAWL.
