Obituaries

Rubin Sivek

Rubin Sivek of Phoenix died Nov. 10, 2003. He was 80. He was born in Poland and moved to Arizona in 1986 from Illinois. He was owner and operator of a jewelry store and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah; sons, Mark of Las Vegas, Robert of Chicago and Andrew of Glendale; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at the VA Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.



Gertrude Linn

Gertrude Linn nee Vinetsky of Skokie, Ill., died Oct. 28, 2003. She was 91. She was born in Poland.

Survivors include her daughter, Harriet Price of Chicago; sons, Alvin Linn of Phoenix and Herb Linn of Deerfield, Ill.; brother, Jack Vinet of Calgary, Canada; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Westlawn Cemetery in Illinois with Rabbi Reuven Frankel officiating. Arrangements were made by Chicago Jewish Funerals. Contributions are suggested to American Parkinson's Disease Association, 2050 Pfingsten Road, Glenview, IL 60025; or Council for Jewish Elderly, 3003 W. Touhy, Chicago 60645.
