Obituaries

Sheilah May Schiff

Sheilah May Schiff of Scottsdale died Oct. 11, 2003. She was 66. She was born in Detroit and moved to Arizona in 1993 from California. She was a homemaker and an active member in the Wellness Community.

Survivors include her husband, Franklin; sons, Adam of Los Angeles and Ari of Scottsdale; mother, M. Lillian Katz of Scottsdale; and sister, Audrey Flescher of Scottsdale.

Services were held at Beth El Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix 85014.



Sanford Jordan Brown

Sanford Jordan Brown, age 70, passed away October 15, 2003 in Illinois. He was born in Chicago and was a resident of Flossmoor, Ill. Sanford was a retired clothing store owner and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife Lynn Turken Brown, sons Bennett (Michell) Brown and Roger (Gail) Brown, daughter Sharon (David) Hawkes, and four grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in Beth Israel Cemetery, 305 S. 35th Ave., Phoenix. Contributions in his memory are requested to Hillel Jewish Student Center, 1012 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
