Rachel Anne Sandler and Eric David Stern, both of Sacramento, Calif., announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Cynthia and Michael Stern of Scottsdale; Leah Rubin and Jeffrey Cohen and Nina Tumosa and Thomas Sandler, all of St. Louis.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Missouri and a law degree from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. He is a political reporter at the Modesto Bee.
A March 28, 2004, wedding is planned at the Sheraton St. Louis City Center Hotel in Missouri.
