Brian Kalmenson of Scottsdale was selected to attend the National Young Leaders Conference held July 28-Aug. 7 in Washington, D.C. The conference is a leadership development program for high school students who have demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic merit.

Cookies Amour has been presented the Business Journal of Phoenix Readers' Choice Award for the best gifts for clients and prospective clients. The business is located at 1341 E. Northern Ave., Phoenix.

Larry Seaman received the Agent of the Year award from the Phoenix chapter of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in recognition of his past and continuing service to the life insurance industry and to the community. Seaman also served as president of Beth El Congregation from 1984-1986.

The Arizona chapter of the American Jewish Committee has elected its board members for the 2003-2004 year. Board members are Paul Steen, president; Stephen Bressler, David Engelman, Carol Kamin, Jonathan Rosenthal, Bunny Schnurer and Evelyn Simmons, vice presidents; Kim Schaffer, treasurer; and Stanley Levine, immediate past president. National board of governors members are Evelyn Simmons and Ken Smith.

Linda S. Wenger has been named executive director of marketing and communications at the national office of Jewish National Fund.
