Flagstaff synagogue welcomes rabbi

Flagstaff synagogue Heichal Baoranim welcomed its new student rabbi, Deborah Bock, at a Sept. 12 Shabbat service.

Last year, Bock received her dual master's degree in Jewish education and communal service from Hebrew Union College's Jerusalem campus.

She spent this past summer in Jerusalem helping to orient and serve as a mentor for an upcoming class of HUC students.

In addition to officiating at High Holiday services, Bock will officiate at nine Shabbat weekends throughout the year.
