Synagogue leases building

The Scottsdale Sepharadic Synagogue has signed a two-year lease in an office building at 5310 E. Shea Blvd., Suite 5, Scottsdale.

The congregation plans to purchase their own facility at the end of the two years, said Avi Dahan, one of the synagogue's founders. The 2,000-square-foot space includes 1,600 square feet that will be reserved for the sanctuary and the rest will be used for other programs, Dahan said. Plans for a dedication ceremony are in the works, he added.

For now, the traditional Sephardic Shabbat services, as well as the High Holiday services, will be held at Best Western, 7515 E. Butherus Drive, Scottsdale. Call 602-944-7622.
