Valley youth claim Israel birthright

Editor:
Harry Flaster's article deserves special commendation. ("Local students to participate in Israel programs," Jewish News, July 25) It was inspiring to read that Valley young adults are indeed staking a claim to their birthright by traveling to the Holy Land. We are proud that Harry and three other Arizona students are graduates of Aish Hatorah's Hasbara Fellowships for campus leaders on behalf of Israel.

Jewish News' gift promotes literacy

Editor:
Due to the thoughtfulness, foresight and community awareness of Jewish News of Greater Phoenix Publisher Flo Eckstein, the Bureau of Jewish Education's Library and Resource Center is now blessed with hundreds of new titles in our new location at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus.

The mission of the Bureau of Jewish Education's Library and Resource Center as a lending library is to promote Jewish literacy and public awareness of Jewish literature and learning opportunities. This incredible contribution by Jewish News not only adds to our vast range of subjects covering all dimensions of Jewish living, but enriches the entire community.

All are invited to check out these new titles and more. We're located at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, 12701 N. Scottsdale Road. For more information, call 480-634-8050.
