Local Hadassah chapters merge

Hadassah Valley of the Sun has officially merged with the West Valley chapter of Hadassah in an effort to increase membership.

The merger means that about 400 Hadassah members in Peoria and Sun City will become part of HVOS, allowing a combined membership of almost 2,500.

"We are thrilled to announce our merger with the West Valley chapter," said Fredi Brown, HVOS president. "The women of the West Valley bring their years of experience and involvement to enhance HVOS."

Members of the West Valley chapter can now use HVOS's local resource center in Scottsdale, which provides administrative tools to assist in volunteering and serves as a liaison between the local Hadassah chapters and the organization's national office in New York City.

"Combining our chapter together with Hadassah Valley of the Sun gives me many hopes and thoughts on getting help when we need it," said Benny Goldfarb, president of West Valley Hadassah. "Many of our active members are over 85 years of age and have been giving to Hadassah for 15 years or more. They look forward to help from HVOS that will allow them to continue supporting Hadassah's wonderful projects."
