Beth Emeth to start Sunday school

Beth Emeth Congregation of Sun City West is starting a Family Sunday School in the fall. The program will offer classes for children age 6-15 and their parents.

The curriculum will include bible study, history, holidays and Hebrew language. Field trips will be organized, along with holiday workshops, including a model seder, lunches and parties. The curriculum, with some additional study, will prepare boys and girls age 12-15 for their b'nai mitzvah.

School is scheduled to begin Sunday, Sept, 7, and continue through the academic year with vacation breaks. There will be 30 sessions throughout the year.

Rabbi Leo Abrami, who will direct the program, will be available to discuss the program10-11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 8; and 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the synagogue, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West. Interested families who cannot attend either of the sessions can call the Beth Emeth office at 623-584-7210 for further information.
