ObituariesBelle B. SoltzBelle B. Soltz of Phoenix died May 11, 2003. She was 84. She was born in Portsmouth, Va., and moved to Arizona from Indiana in 1975. She was the site manager of the Jewish Community Center Senior Center for the past 20 years.She was a life member of Hadassah and a recipient of the Belle Latchman award from Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. The Area Agency on Aging named Jan. 17, 2003, "Belle Soltz Day." Survivors include her daughter, Jayne Soltz of Santa Cruz, Calif.; son, Barry Soltz of Riverwoods, Ill.; sister, Raye Gerber of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services were held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Jewish Community Center Senior Center, 1805 W. Montebello Ave., Phoenix 85015. Estelle MillerEstelle Miller of Phoenix died May 11, 2003. She was 84. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania in 1997. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her son, Robert Miller of Scottsdale; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Paradise Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Meyer CantorMeyer Cantor of Tempe died May 11, 2003. He was 78. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Arizona from Colorado in 1980. He was a retired procurement officer and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Temple Emanuel and was active in community theater in Colorado and New Jersey.Survivors include his daughter, Anne Chandler of Tempe; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Green Acres Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix 85014. Julius RadowJulius Radow, 88, of Phoenix, died at the Phoenix Mountain Nursing Center. He suffered from a long illness due to diabetes. Mr. Radow was born in New York City. He was married to his devoted wife Fay for 63 years. He lived for the last 27 years in Phoenix. He leaves behind his wife, Fay, and three children: Dr. Art Radow (Bonnie), Paul Radow and Nora Leombruno (Tony). He also leaves five grandchildren: Jonathan, Jaime, Courtney, Ken and Lisa; as well at two great-grandchildren: Lauren and Jessica.Mr. Radow was a NYC Firefighter for 33 years. He graduated from Haaren High School, where he studied Aviation Mechanics. He became a licensed pilot and then at age 50 returned to school to become a jet aviation mechanic. He had two great loves, not counting his family. The first was the NYC Fire Department, and firemen in general. The second was flying and airplanes, beginning with his employment at the United Aircraft company in Hartford, Conn. in 1935. He began building an airplane in his backyard from a kit in the 1980's. It occupied many of his leisure hours in his later life. Mr. Radow was an active member of the FDNY Retirees, Phoenix Division. Graveside services were held May 6, 2003 at Green Acres Cemetery.
