People on the moveTyler Rosensteel, a sophomore at Brophy College Preparatory, and Leah Carter, a junior at Sunnyslope High School, have been selected as the Outstanding Young Man and Young Woman of the Year by the Phoenix Youth and Education Commission.Scottsdale Healthcare nurses Heather McCoy and Marjorie Hagglund recently participated in the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses 25th annual meeting in Atlanta. McCoy and Hagglund were the only scheduled speakers from Arizona. Stewart Weinstein, son of Myrna Weinstein and Howard Weinstein, both of Mesa, graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., with a bachelor's degree in culinary arts and nutrition. He is currently performing an internship at Champney's Health Resorts in the United Kingdom. Jennifer Baker, daughter of Maxine and Dennis Baker of Scottsdale, graduated with honors from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in December. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and will attend law school at the University of Arizona this fall. Michael House, CPA, has relocated his practice to 5010 E. Eileen Brill Wagner, a reporter at the Phoenix Business Journal, has been named small business journalist of the year by the Arizona district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Rabbi Sherwin Wine, the founder and visionary of Humanistic Judaism, will be honored as Humanist of the Year 2003 at the American Humanist Association's 62nd annual conference in May. Mickey's Hangover in Scottsdale has been awarded the "Concept Bar of the Year" award by Nightclub and Bar Magazine. Eckerd's drug store has opened a second location in Arizona, at 1750 E. Broadway Road, Tempe. The original Eckerd's is located in Tucson. |
