Sarah N. Pellegrino, daughter of Anne and Anthony Pellegrino of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Shoshana and Abraham Lis of Jerusalem, Israel; and Ann Pellegrino of Huntington, N.Y.

Sarah attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing, karate and music.

For her mitzvah project, Sarah played music with a quartet at various retirement communities.



Anna Lerman Silverman, daughter of Leslie Lerman and David Silverman of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are June and Martin Lerman of Carefree; Leo Silverman of Los Angeles; and the late Anne Silverman.

Anna attends Tesseract School. Her hobbies include rock climbing and playing the flute.

For her mitzvah project, Anna is raising funds for ARMDI to help provide emergency supplies and bulletproof vests for rescue workers.



Jennifer Beth Dwosh, daughter of Janice and Michael Dwosh of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Shirley and William Glickman of Phoenix; Betty and Mel Riff of Scottsdale; and Dorothy and Irving Dwosh of Cleveland, Ohio.

Great-grandparent is Johanna Freedland of Los Angeles.

Jennifer attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies include reading, writing, arts and crafts and travel.

For her mitzvah project, Jennifer volunteered at an elementary school summer school program to assist students with reading, writing, art and computer skills.



Jeremy Richard Fradin, son of Ellen and Peter Fradin of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Sharyn and Larry Fradin of Deerfield, Ill.; Shirley Cohen of Scottsdale; and the late Seymour Cohen.

Jeremy attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies include playing sports, skateboarding and cars.

For his mitzvah project, Jeremy collected backpacks for children in need.



Jayson Alexander Goldman, son of Linda and Steven Goldman of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Emanuel.

Grandparents are Marcia and Jerome Lampert of Lynbrook, N.Y.; and Naomi and Bernard Goldman of Boca Raton, Fla.

Great-grandparent is Sylvia Kupperman of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Jayson attends Centennial Middle School.



Sean Erik Zimmerman, son of Jeanne Zimmerman of Phoenix and David Zimmerman of Chicago, will become a bar mitzvah May 3, 2003, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Bertha and Ben Zimmerman of Chicago; Lois Shapiro of Phoenix; and the late Morris Shapiro.
