People on the moveManischewitz will contribute a portion of proceeds from 5-lb. packages of matzo over the Passover holiday to ARMDI. The Passover matzo packages will be marked with a large red banner supporting Israel's Red Cross.The College Funding Center, an 18-year-old group from Texas, has expanded its services to Arizona. Greg Giczi has been named general manager of KAET-TV/Channel 8, the Phoenix public television station. Giczi is the former vice president of operations at Michiana Telecasting Corporation. Barry Feldman, son of Irma and Al Feldman of Scottsdale, has been presented the 2002 President's Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching at the high school level. Feldman teaches 10th grade biology at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe. Merv Griffin's Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas announces a partnership with Danziger Kosher Catering. As part of the partnership, the Hilton has opened a sealed kosher kitchen under the supervision and direction of Rabbi David Rebibo of The Greater Phoenix Vaad Hakashruth. Dr. Sean Lille has been chosen as the plastic surgery consultant for health programming at Channel 15 ABC News. Vegetas, a vegetarian food line handmade in Tempe, has recently added Washington and Oregon to the list of states now marketing its products. Products include handmade chips, salsa, hummus, tamales and fruit dips. |
