Ariella Miri Levine, daughter of Sarah and Kenneth Levine of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 29, 2003, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Barbara Levine of Scottsdale; Linda and Paul Levine of Philadelphia; Lillie and Jerry Weissman of Las Vegas; and the late Lynette Weissman.

Ariella attends Sunrise Middle School. Her hobbies include basketball, reading and participating in jazz band.

For her mitzvah project, Ariella worked with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to provide educational programs to teens.



Samantha Jaclyne Alpert, daughter of Susan and Robert Alpert of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 29, 2003, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Marilyn Smith of Highland Park, Ill.; the late Sheldon Smith; and the late Jean and Jack Alpert.

Great-grandparents are the late Rose and Nathan Alpert.



Doron Yosef Lapid, son of Kay Alter Lapid and Gideon Lapid, both of Tempe, will become a bar mitzvah March 29, 2003, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are June Alter of Skokie, Ill.; Mali Lapid of Israel; the late Wilfred Alter; and the late Chanan Lapid.

Doron attends McKemy Middle School. His hobbies include computers and music.

For his mitzvah project, Doron helped restore the temple's prayerbooks.



Haley Brooke Coles, daughter of Francine and Scott Coles of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah March 29, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Phyllis and Bernard Shostack of Paradise Valley; Lois Coles of Phoenix; and the late Charles Coles.

Haley attends Villa Montessori Middle School. Her hobbies include acting, modeling, snowboarding and music.

For her mitzvah project, Haley founded "Kid-2-Kid and Beyond," a coalition of youth from various socioeconomic groups that do service work in local communities. Haley is also the chairperson of her school's annual book drive.
