B'nai Mitzvah
Rachel Suzanne Steingard, daughter of Sharon and Scott Steingard of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 15, 2003, at Har Zion Congregation.
Grandparents are Lyn and Paul Steingard of Phoenix; and Marilyn and Sigmund Nussbaum of Des Moines, Iowa.
Great-grandparent is Rebecca Nussbaum of Des Moines, Iowa.
Rachel attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include photography and chorus.
For her mitzvah project, Rachel collected school supplies for Ethiopian immigrant school children in Israel.
Alexandra Rose Handelman, daughter of Marcia and Richard Bronson of Scottsdale, became a bat mitzvah March 8, 2003, at The Four Seasons Resort.
Grandparents are Geraldine Hyman and Joyce Swigart, both of Scottsdale; Ilana and Aaron Hyman of Las Vegas; Jacqueline and Martin Bronson of St. Louis; and the late Myron Manne.
Alexandra attends Mountain Trail Middle School. Her hobbies include team sports, reading, computers and listening to music.
For her mitzvah project, Alexandra purchased and collected books for the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Daniel James Troup, son of Elizabeth and William Troup of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah March 15, 2003, at Temple Beth Israel.
Grandparents are Rowena and James Troup of Elkhart, Ind.; Sara Kalin of Scottsdale; and the late Ronald Fox.
Great-grandparent is Neva Engelhardt of Elkhart, Ind.

Jenna Leah Spector, daughter of Sylvia and Brian Spector of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah March 15, 2003, at Temple Emanuel.
Jenna attends Centennial Middle School. Her hobbies include volleyball and basketball.
Lewis Daniel Toporek, son of Hannah and Dana Toporek of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah March 15, 2003, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Marian Toporek, Edward Toporek and Constance Dalton, all of Phoenix.
Lewis attends Pardes Jewish Day School. His hobbies include soccer, chess, SCUBA diving, reading and football.
For his mitzvah project, Lewis completed a 13 Mitzvot project that included a combination of Torah, Avodah and Gemilut chasadim.
