Obituaries

Lawrence J. Gross

Lawrence J. Gross of Sun City died Feb. 23, 2003. He was 86. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to Arizona in 1995 from Colorado. He was a retired attorney and a retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Gross was a member of Beth Emeth Congregation and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.

Survivors include his sons, Irving Gross of Hamden, Conn., and Jeffrey Gross of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Adele Margolies of New Jersey; and one grandchild.

Services were held at Sunland Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Beth Emeth Congregation, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West 85375.



Marion Elizabeth Michel

Marion Elizabeth Michel of Scottsdale died Feb. 15, 2003. She was 56. She was born in Fulda, Germany, and moved to Arizona in 1975 from Washington, D.C. She was an international tour director for Oddessey Unlimited. Michel was a member of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washinton, D.C., an adult board member of the B'nai B'rith Youth Group and the owner of Wachamacallit Productions since 1987.

Survivors include her parents, Ilse and Martin Michel of Mission, Kan.; and son, Trevor Tenney of Scottsdale.

Services were held at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place S.W., Washington, D.C. 20024.
