Every Jew is a Jew

Editor:
I am very surprised and disturbed with your "Sound bite" in the Feb. 21 issue of Jewish News. The insinuation (even unintended) is that all those who may be considered "Orthodox" are somehow guilty of sentiments critical of Reform Jews.

I am personally not acquainted with any Orthodox Jews with these sentiments. In reality, every Jew is a Jew regardless of personal (present) commitment and observance. Surely more discretion should be used in publishing these Sound bites.

With blessing.

Rabbi Zalman Levertov
Regional director of Chabad of Arizona
Phoenix
