B'nai Mitzvah

Sara Ashley Bardwil, daughter of Karen and Larry Rosenblum of Scottsdale and Paul Bardwil of Sherman Oaks, Calif., will become a bat mitzvah March 1, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Dorothy and Monte Elchoness of Ventura, Calif.; Jean Strauber of Encino, Calif.; and Marilyn and Joseph Bardwil of Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Sara attends Desert Shadow Middle School. Her hobbies include dancing and music.

For her mitzvah project, Sara raised and donated money to the Nourish the Children Foundation. She also bought several gifts for the Christmas Angels program.



Abigail Margaret Abraham, daughter of Ann and Andy Abraham of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah March 1, 2003, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Jean Boland of Paradise Valley; Dale Abraham of Scottsdale; the late John Boland; and the late Willard Abraham.

Abigail attends Phoenix Country Day School. Her hobbies include golf, theater and caring for animals.

For her mitzvah project, Abigail collected and donated school supplies.



Elisabeth Rose Friedman, daughter of Sally Friedman and Charles Friedman of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah March 1, 2003, at Beth El Congregation.

Grandparents are the late Mollie and Edward Friedman; and the late Ruth and Leonard Harris.

Elisabeth attends Arizona School for the Arts. Her hobbies include playing the violin, acting, listening to music, traveling, movies and spending time with friends.



Kaylie Weinstein Marsh, daughter of Beth and Rob Marsh of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah March 1, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Margie and Marlon Somberg of Scottsdale; and Sherry and Marv Weinstein of Niles, Ill.

Kaylie attends Tesseract school. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, soccer, softball, basketball, tennis and playing the piano.

For her mitzvah project, Kaylie collected toys for a silent auction and donated the proceeds to the Friends of Foster Children Foundation.



Zachary Luke Bernstein, son of Henrietta and Anthony Bernstein of Sudbury, Mass., will become a bar mitzvah March 1, 2003, at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, Mass.

Grandparents are Shelley and Allen Bernstein of Scottsdale; Annette Molnar of Santa Fe, N.M.; and the late Nicholas Molnar.

Zachary attends Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, Mass. His hobbies include horseback riding, skiing, tennis and music.

For his mitzvah project, Zachary raised $600 for the hunger relief program "Project Bread."
