Zeah Melissa Katz, daughter of Comette and Gary Katz of Mesa, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Faye Katz of Philadelphia; the late Max Katz; and the late Virginia Eldridge Collins.



Grant Reed Kolton, son of Andrea Kolton and Alex Kolton, both of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Sallye Flaxman of Scottsdale; Elliot Kolton of Skokie, Ill.; the late Bernard Flaxman; and the late Lee Binder.



Jordan Franklin Weltman, son of Susan and Freddie Weltman of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Ann Eliscu of Phoenix; Beverly Weltman of Beachwood, Ohio; the late Jack Eliscu; and the late Jack Weltman.

Great-grandparent is the late Ruth Block.

Jordan attends Sunrise Middle School. His hobbies include soccer, baseball and cooking.

For his mitzvah project, Jordan plans to make a gourmet pancake and waffle breakfast for the Ronald McDonald House. He also plans to serve food to the homeless at the Watkins Overflow Shelter.



Daniel Thompson Wallace, son of Lisa and Tom Wallace of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are the late Stella and Stanley Goodman; and the late Minott Wallace.

Daniel attends Shea Middle School. His hobbies include building model roller coasters, camping, Boy Scouts, running track and field and computer games.

For his mitzvah project, Daniel donated money to buy disposable cameras for students at the Thomas J. Pappas School, raced for Donor Network of Arizona and fed the hungry at the Watkins Overflow Shelter.



Dena Beth Berg, daughter of Marsha Berg of Tempe and Joel Berg of Seattle, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Grandparents are Millicent Polsky and Marshall and Shirley Berg, all of Des Moines, Iowa.

Dena attends Fees Middle School. Her hobbies include music, gymnastics and dance.

For her mitzvah project, she collected paper towels, bird feed and latex gloves for the Liberty Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation in Scottsdale.



Michael-Anne Carr Orenstein, daughter of Merle Carr and Frank Orenstein of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are the late Lillian and Morris Orenstein; and the late Ann and Myer Carr.

Great-grandparents are the late Sarah and Abe Orenstein; and the late Sara and Louis Rosenblood.

Michael-Anne attends Phoenix Country Day School. Her hobbies include horseback riding, music, acting and theater.

For her mitzvah project, Michael-Anne served food to the homeless at a shelter.



Allyson B. Resnick, daughter of Denise and Robert Resnick of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Patti and Herb Dreiseszun of Phoenix; Barbara Samuels of Brookline, Mass.; and Harold Resnick of Del Mar, Calif.

Great-grandparents are the late Gertrude and Hyman Dreiseszun.



Noah Andrew Stone, son of Sheryl and Jack Stone of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 11, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Ira Stone of Chicago; Angeline and Harold Foster of Scottsdale; and the late Marjorie Stone.

Noah attends Desert Shadows Middle School.

For his mitzvah project, Noah assisted in a food drive for Paradise Valley Food Bank.
