B'nai Mitzvah

Jordan Lee Heitzner, daughter of Linda and Steve Heitzner of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 4, 2003, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Rebecca and Richard Heitzner of Flint, Mich.; Robert Goldberg of Milwaukee; and the late Joan Goldberg.

Great-grandparents are Rose Feltman of Hollywood, Fla.; the late Steve Goldberg; the late Kate and Joseph Gillman; the late Ester and Abraham Heitzner; and the late Lilian and Sol Shuman.

For her mitzvah project, Jordan donated food and money to Vista del Camino Center.



Alyssa Rebecca Lernor, daughter of Patty and Matt Lernor of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 4, 2003, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Cheryl Lernor of Scottsdale; Donald Lernor of Mesa; and the late Mildred and Bud Aughey.

Alyssa attends Desert Shadows Middle School. Her hobbies include playing competitive soccer.

For her mitzvah project, Alyssa volunteered for Pets on Wheels.



Vincent Michael Manna, son of Ilene Manna of Phoenix and Michael Manna of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 4, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Lynn Manna of Phoenix; Robert White of Scottsdale; and the late Alice White.

Vincent attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include hockey and basketball.

For his mitzvah project, Vincent collected blankets to donate to the homeless.



Blaine Harlan Light, son of Ricki and Alan Light of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 4, 2003, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Marmel and Donald Robuck of Toronto; Leah Light of Johannesburg, South Africa; and the late Hymie Light.

Great-grandparents are the late Gussie and Moe Starr.

Blaine attends Copper Ridge Middle School. His hobbies include swimming, skiing, soccer, video games, reading and spending time with friends.

For his mitzvah project, Blaine coordinated a book drive for underprivileged children. He also helped to sort and distribute the books.
