The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Arizona State University.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree in political science and is working on a master's degree in public administration at Arizona State University. He is the executive assistant to the mayor of Tempe.
A March 15, 2003, wedding is planned in Mesa.

Parents of the couple are Linda and Howard Zell of Scottsdale; and Marjie Simon and Barry Simon of Jupiter, Fla.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and plans to graduate from the Tulane University School of Medicine in May 2003. She plans a career in pediatrics.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in public health from Tulane University. He plans a career in anesthesiology.
